Galaxy is led by Chief Executive Officer Simon Hay. Mr Hay brings a wealth of project development skills which will assist Galaxy in unlocking value from its world class assets. The executive team has been bolstered with the addition of personnel experienced in developing international minerals projects as Galaxy gears up for the development of the Sal de Vida project.

Mr Rule has more than 24 years experience as Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary in the mining industry in Australia and Africa. He has considerable experience in international debt and equity financing of mining projects, implementation of accounting controls and systems, governance and regulatory requirements, and in mergers and acquisitions. He is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Accounting degree. Prior to joining Galaxy, he was with ASX-listed African iron ore company Sundance Resources Limited, where he had been Chief Financial Officer since July 2014. His previous positions have also included CFO of Paladin Energy Limited, Mount Gibson Limited, Western Metals Limited and St Barbara Mines Limited. He is a non-executive director of Yellow Cake plc, an AIM listed uranium company.
Director - Corporate Development
Mr Rowley is an experienced corporate executive with a strong financial background with over 15 years’ specialising in corporate advisory, M&A transactions and equities markets. He has advised on the equity financings of numerous ASX and TSX listed companies predominantly in the mining and resources sector. Mr Rowley also serves as a Non-Executive Director of Cyprium Metals Ltd (ASX:CYM), Titan Minerals Ltd (ASX:TTM) and Oro X Mining Corp. (TSX:OROX.V). He previously served as Non-Executive Director of Cobalt One Ltd (ASX:CO1) which was acquired by Canadian listed First Cobalt Corporation (TSX:FCC) in 2017.
Executive - Major Projects
Mr Blackwell has over 20 years’ experience leading teams through the delivery of both green and brown field projects. Previously he worked for Iluka Resources (ASX:ILU) and was most recently appointed to oversee key strategic mineral and technological developments. Prior to this he successfully managed multiple capital projects across various phases of feasibility, execution and commissioning to establish sustainable mining and processing operations. He has extensive experience in construction techniques, contracting strategies and negotiations, risk management and stakeholder relations. Mr Blackwell has completed tertiary education in engineering, science and project management, plus specific learning in business administration and general management from both Deakin University and INSEAD and is a member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (AusIMM).

Company Secretary and General Counsel
Mr Sanders holds a Bachelor of Laws with Honours from the University of Western Australia and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Mr Sanders is a senior corporate lawyer with over 25 years’ experience, having held legal and commercial roles in top tier law firms and international resource companies. He has a broad range of experience in corporate governance, international mergers and acquisitions, contract negotiation and implementing resource projects. Mr Sanders has previously worked for Herbert Smith Freehills, King and Wood Mallesons in Perth and Clifford Chance in London, as well as acting as senior in-house counsel at Woodside Energy and Hess Exploration Australia.
